The 38th World Othello Championship was held in Bangkok from November 5th to November 8th.
Makoto Suekuni of Japan is the new World Othello Champion after winning the finals 2 games to 1 against Ben Seeley of the USA.
The Japanese team (Suekuni, Okamoto, Nakano, Tatsumi) won the team championship title.
Joanna William representing Australia won the Women’s World Othello Champion title defeating Zhen Dong of China in the one-game final.
Congratulations Joanna!!!
The Australian team (from left to right: Matt Vinar, Joanna William, Sam Milankov, Scott Hughes) finished 5th from 26 countries, setting a new national team record of 22.5 points.
