| Japan (Takanashi, Sasaki, Takizawa) won yet another team world title at the 34th World Othello Championships held in Rome.
Yusuke Takanashi defended his world title by defeating the 2008 world champion Michele Borassi by 2 games to 1 in the finals. Jiska Helmes of the Netherlands is the new women’s world champion after defeating Veronica Stenberg of Sweden. Australia (Geoff Hubbard, George Ortiz) finished 16th from 24 countries. |
